In the series “Invisible Beings”, “Individual Series” are still lifes
photographed and magnified with industrial cameras and industrial
high-resolution lens, which enable recognition of beings that are
normally invisible to the eye in the special state. Just like how
humans’ lives that seem perfect from outside contain numerous
mistakes, failures, scars, and agony inside, the 1.6 ~ 3 mm sized
microchips revealed surfaces that represent many aspects of life. By
becoming the subjects of cogitation and self-reflection, the mi
microchips brought a completely different world to the observer. It wa
was a lively experience that the observer did not have for decades wh
while working in industry.
“Society Series” in the series “Invisible Beings” is a work that arrays
10,000 pieces of microchip, each of which was photographed and
numbered. 10,000 pieces represent the society, and each piece
represents an individual who has been hurt and experienced
failures.
