Capturing an image is easy but capturing the essence of life, of hope and of second
chances is humbling – and I am humbled to capture Pat's portrait. Sometimes we forget
about the beauty of the little things but for others it is the beauty of the little things
that make each day worthwhile. We are reminded to slow down and to reconnect with
ourselves and to each other to realise our full potential. We learn that sometimes we need
to take that leap of faith and risk it all so our dreams can come true.
