CALENDAR DEBRA 2017

  The artwork of contemporary young photographer Bet Orten oscillates between fashion photography, documentary, portrait and landscape art. Her photographs resemble poetic images or impressions from stories so familiar yet never written. Bet garnered her experience mostly abroad. She lived in New York where she worked as assistant in the team of the famous American photographer Steven Klein. She graduated from London College of Fashion in the field of fashion photography. In 2012 she was awarded the Czech Grand Design award in the category “Photographer of the Year”., Czech Republic

A very special project - DEBRA CALENDAR 2017 was made in
cooperation with a Czech well acclaimed art photographer BET
ORTEN and art director JAN PAVLACKY for a non profit
organisation DEBRA. Every year for the past 7 years a calendar
to support children with the horrible disease of EB
(Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a group of inherited connective
tissue diseases that cause blisters in the skin and mucosal
membranes) is made. The organisation DEBRA that operates
worldwide is supporting families with children with such a
disease. Every year with a help of the calendar a big financial
support for those effected with EB is made. In the calendar there
are famous Czech celebrities that supported DEBRA. The theme
was to show their "second skin", the suffering, the pain but also
hope by using a projected images on them.
