The Timeless series originated from a period in which I was
looking for inner reflection. An exciting, experimental time,
because the outcome can not be disputed. Images with the
element of surprise. Images that unendingly fascinate me.
Ploughed up from a world without deadlines, in complete silence,
without the ticking of a second hand. Timeless.
And so the Timeless series was created, which ultimately speaks
more to the imagination than the others. Images in which I
deliberately make omissions and in which coincidence determines
the visual result.
These images speak to the imagination. They tell a story or force
you, as observer, to be still. Take the time to rest and experience
what is happening right now. Contemplative and meditative
images that show, the longer you look, more and more. Both
outside yourself and in. As if the image wants to bring the outside
world and your inner world into balance.
When I was 15 years old my neighbor introduced me into his world of photography. By looking at his beautiful far away landscapes I ended up in a different world. I got my first camera from him.
I have been working as a landscape photographer since 2000. Gradually I started to see more and more the pure beauty of the mundane landscape. I discovered its essence, its abstraction and its poetic sides.
In my work I portray the beauty of the everyday landscape in an unusual way.
By taking the time you will see more and look differently.
