Was walking through a very remote village in West Bengal, India. It
was quite early in the morning when I heard unusal quacking of a
bunch of duck. While I was looking for the source I found these
little children enjoying themselve sitting in a gunny bag. To my
surprise I found them quacking like ducks. They stopped quacking
when they saw me.

I have been fascinated with photography since I was a teenager, which grew stronger with time. I started travelling with my parents since my childhood. I have travelled across India extensively and to over 14 countries. To some extent, my inclination towards travel and photography is an inheritance from my father as he is an avid traveler himself. My passion for travelling gave birth to my interest for photography. As a teenager, I always photographed with a borrowed camera. For me it was much more fun than collecting stamps/coins. My first camera was the compact film camera – a gift from my uncle. With no grammatical knowledge of photography then, I used it as an opportunity to experiment. I tried my hands at everything that a destination had to offer -the gorgeous landscape, flora of the country, portraits and family snapshots. Education and career soon took precedence over passion. Nonetheless, photography was always there on mind. It’s only when I joined a Charitable Organisation, I was introduced to the enigmatic world of digital camera. I bought myself a Point and Shoot Super Zoom Compact Camera and decided to pursue photography as a hobby. With an aspiration to take something more extraordinary, I always ended up taking thousands of photographs.

I have not been to any school to learn the nuances of photography. A self-taught photographer, I prefer to learn from mistakes and in the process, perfect my techniques and vision.
