Stone Garden

In 1961 a man called Darwish Khan Esfandiari, who was an owner of
areas of Sirjan in City of kerman, lost a lot of these Areas to the
goverment because of some new regulation in term of ownership of
those areas. And after these because of lack of support from the
government for his remaining ground, they dried out. The main
reason for him to build this garden is still unknown. Some say that
because Darwish Khan was deaf and mute, this was a way to show his
discontent about the actions of the government and it is an art protest
against them. Darwish Khan died at 7th of April 2007 in his garden and
was buried there. These days even his garden is a popular tourist
attraction, however because of lack of support and attention to the
garden, this garden is in danger of getting destroyed by time.
