Cinco Hojas exposes a Cuban ritual - Smoking a Cohiba Cigar.
In a café in Santiago de Cuba, William introduced us to the ‘real’ art
of cigar smoking. Cuban cigars are made from five tobacco leaves -
cinco hojas de tobaco cubano. Each tobacco maker cultivates the
leaves to provide a unique color, texture, flavor, aroma, air flow
(draw), and burn.
To fully enjoy, you must prepare the hand rolled cigar and properly
torch the end to create an even burn. To maximize the cigar's flavor
the ashes should stay in tack as long as possible. In the end, on
must show respect and appreciation by letting the cigar 'die' with
dignity.
Never snuff out the cigar!
