Lin Yi-Tsung (Mr. Codin), born in Taipei in 1985, is a visual artist whose works are based on imagery, specializing in making surreal representations. In his works contain materials from the city and the waterfront as well as other waste images, which are all replicated in large numbers then torn, cut, synthesized, and combined in various ways to form collages depicting time and space fused with fantasy. His science fiction works tell stories of the universe with subject matters such as black holes and dimensions. Many of his works are derived from images of desolate wastelands, ruins, piers, and other places in which people are apathetic to the existence, or lack thereof, of art.
