Fashion Misfits

I worked with an NGO for special kids with Down syndrome in
India. Portraits of 6 girls were made with the idea of “Fashion
misfits” to redefine beauty standards and open up a platform to
encourage unconventional aesthetics. Special people have been
an ignored part of our society for the longest and there is a
need to explore the versatile interpretations of beauty and be
more accepting.
With the help of this project, I’d like to create a space in the
fashion and advertising industry, ultimately to open channels
catering to special people as well, so that they can find a way to
fashionably express themselves and become role models to our
society too.
