Daily Practice of Sisyphus

  • Photographer
    Winston Yau, Hong Kong

In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was punished to roll a rock to the top of the mountain
repeatedly. Whenever he reached the summit, the rock would rock down finally. Thus, his
torture is everlasting. Similarly, people in Hong Kong work over fifty hours per week, day
by day until their retirements. We are in fact doing the same job as Sisyphus. But what if
we alter our perception, changing the torture into a practice. Probably we don’t think it
is a punishment to us.
