Night Riffs

Whether it is the low moan of a saxophone or staccato trumpet
notes ~~
I hear music as I walk alone.

On darkened city streets.

And it is jazz I hear ~~
in the crowds of Times Square, or in the silence of a Paris
quartier.

Layers of sound, layers of emotion, fleeting unpredictable
moments ~~
the urban montage.

A heartbeat that I try to capture.

I have been a street photographer for 16 years. Trained at International Center for Photography.

Street photography is my obsession -- the heartbeat of a city -- the multitude of layers in fast moving times. With my camera I try to capture the mood and and feelings. My latest project in a visual Haiku to both the interior and exterior realms of city dwellers.
