The ecological condition of the Gulf of Finland, Neva Bay and Neva River
is unsatisfactory.
Dam, sewage and inning contribute to the growing problems.
In recent decades the fish catchment decreased more than 10 times in
this area. Some species of fish are on the verge of extinction.
