Emily serie

Emily series is based on an antagonistic vision of existence; a
kind of hope is delivered while life expiration is implied in the
figure, the scene and the texture. There is no doubt that this
series seeks some shelter in childhood and naivety to express
the happiness of fantasy, its joyful and impossible nature. This
aesthetics is similar to that of Carroll and Saint-Expeury, who
tried to sublimate the tough and pragmatic laws that rule
reality.

Social prejudices, eagerness for power or materialsim fade away
in each one of these images, but there is more to be said. The
figure of that rabbit woman, her central position in the space,
her quietness and stillness, as well as that embellished and pure
garden express a kind of doubt and suspicion of the unknown
that make this tribute to fantasy an ambigous idea of happiness.

I was born in Orihuela (Alicante, Spain) and I'm lover of Black and White photography. I use the long exposure technique to capture the movement of water and clouds and the processing of my photos involves the use of dark tones. Now, I'm immersed in a new project more creative.
