Architectural symphony

Walt Disney Concert Hall
Designed by architect Frank Gehry, Walt Disney Concert Hall, is
the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and is one of the
most acoustically sophisticated concert halls in the world.

Entitled “Architectural symphony” this one of a kind image is the
result of a series of multiple exposures taken from different
angles and then reconstructed to present in abstract form this
striking state-of-the art architectural marvel and the unique
energy and creative spirit of the city of Los Angeles and its
orchestra.

I first explored the potential of photography as an art /creative director. Then, after a long and successful career in the advertising agency arena, I decided to turn my focus inward in the pursuit of my own artistic vision.

I had read that there are three ways in which art functions: As decor, an augment to interior design; then there is art as a statement, a tool to support a particular argument; and finally, the concept that art, when it thoroughly engages, evokes a sense of wonder. To meet all three criteria is the challenge that arouses my curious nature and fuels my imagination.

I find inspiration in the genres of landscape, street, photo reportage and abstract photography, with an emphasis on creating images from a personal perspective. My images are part theatrical gesture and part documentary; images that seek to establish that intersection between the familiar and the unfamiliar; images that convey an unspoken narrative, inviting the viewer to look a little deeper and bring their own sense of imagination and perspective into the visual experience.

Some artists search for a technique, a genre, a style, a voice, and once they have discovered it, they stay the course. I'm not one of them. Bob Dylan once said, "An artist must be careful to never think he has arrived somewhere, he must always be in a constant state of becoming". I believe that as long as I travel in the realm of becoming and strive for new forms of expression,
I will continue to evolve as an artist.
