In 2012 I started a portrait series called "the photo booth project"
It is similar to the pictures produced by a photo booth: each band
member displayed separately followed by one with the complete
band - the well known strip of four.
As you might know, in the digital age we tend to take and delete
countless pictures until we finally get the perfect result. My
approach is exactly the opposite – every shot will be used.
How each band member interacts with the camera is up to the
person in front of the camera. Right now I already portrait about
70 bands for this project including musicians as: Frank Turner,
Rise against, NoFX, Sportfreunde Stiller, Descendents and others.
In this selection you see just selected single shots of the complete
series.
