So It Is: Vancouver

A coffee table book that celebrates the history and culture of
Vancouver, told through the stories of people who live their
today.

Each subject was soaked before their shoot - partly as a nod to
our rainforest city, and also so that people didn't get too
precious about their hair.

Part travel guide, part incomplete bio, the book serves as an
access point to stories as diverse as the the Musqueam Runners,
the Great Vancouver Fire of 1886, and battle to open and
sustain Insite - North America's first safe injection site.

Commercial portrait photographers with four eyes, two heads, and one unimaginatively named company. Working as a collaborative team since 2008, their approach is heavy on the preproduction and planning, so that once the shot day roles around they can use all their time and energy to work with the subjects.
