Documenting the humanitarian help in the only hospital in Kenya
making paediatric heart surgeries for children born with congenital
heart defect who would die without the medical help

Ján Husár is a Slovak war photographer, documentary producer, and coordinator of medical missions in East Africa. He is renowned for his collaboration with the History Channel, CNN, and Al Jazeera. In 2017, he was awarded the Reader's Prize of the magazine Lidé a Země; and in 2019, the award of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the Czech Press Photo competition. He was also a nominee for the Open Society Foundation (OSF) Best Photojournalism Award and received the 2017 prize for the best international film on modern-day
slavery by the Unchosen Modern Slavery.
