I have always believed that the eye glance is the main point of portrait
photography. The eye of the beholder seeks at first instance the
portrayed subject's glance. When staring into one's pupil deep black,
some sort of direct confrontation occurs, as though photography would
not be made of paper, but it would rather become flesh, made of
sentient and living matter.
As I seek these glances and this sort of mute discussion, in this picture
I wanted to made the portrayed subject seek my eye (my camera)
through and inbetween leafy branches. So, his eyes get beyond
obstacles that stand between me and him, as metaphor of typical
impairments and difficulties occurring in human relationships. What
keeps us separated is something that belongs to both of us, as leaves
and branches are like extensions of our being. For this reason I chose
for such elements the same subject's colour palette.

EXPOSITIONS: Her photographs have been exposed in diverse galeries and events, among which it is particularly worth noting the Leica Gallery in Milan.
LECTURES: She held a seminar lecture at Rome Fine Arts Academy
