FROZEN FLUIDITY

Frozen Fluidity
I deliberately wanted to create a series of images with contrasts –
soft yet hard, masculine yet feminine and shiny yet dark. Metallic,
shiny makeup is applied on the male model, making him appear
feminine. He is dressed in sequins and shiny fabrics usually used
for the female gender. Water is thrown onto him. Water is soft, yet
it appears hard when frozen in motion. The sequins and metallic
fabric reflect light, whilst half the image is shrouded in shadows
and darkness.
