This series is a consideration of the relationship between the feminine form and nature.
It attempts to capture the complexities of the relationship with a world that we long to
be part of, and yet remain inherently separately from. In each photo a woman is depicted
interacting within a natural landscape and yet no matter how she tries to integrate she
remains separate from and at odds with that landscape. The title of the series “How Does
Your Garden Grow?” also indicates a deeper consideration of the natural garden as a
metaphor for life and how we tend to our own inner world.
