In the darkland

My name is Krzysztof Ubych. I am 30. I come from Bielawa – a small Polish town located at the foot of the Sowie Mountains (Góry Sowie). Currently, I've been living and working in Germany for about two years. I am a man of many passions. In my childhood, I was interested in painting and sketching, which was inspired by my father. Over time, I became interested in martial arts and extreme biking, which I do to this day in my free time. While seeking my path, I felt unfulfilled, something was still missing - that one, special passion. Then - about three years ago - I met for the first time with photography. I decided to buy my first SLR camera, and I instantly knew that this was something I wanted to do for a lifetime. Photography has become my greatest and dearest passion. It gives me a sense of fulfillment. From the the very beginning, I became interested in photographing people and portraiture. At first I would photograph people that were close to me, then I started to photograph people that were not so well known top me, but inspiring enough to be photographed. My photo sessions were usually done outdoors, or in my first amateur studio, which was a room of my apartment in Bielawa. There I could freely practice my skills and learn to control the light. Over time, as the passion absorbed me more and more, I also started to explore the world of fashion and encountered many interesting photographers, from which I derive endless inspiration. I knew right away that was the path I wanted to take. And so I begun to look for people to cooperate with for my first big project that I was dreaming of for a long time.., Poland
