Bird's-eye view photography has long been seen as interesting simply
by its angle by itself, as the “bird’s eye” angle is not an usual vantage
point that people are used to seeing. Just a banal landscape can be
transformed into something extraordinary only if shot from the above.
However, with the recent diffusion of drones, pictures taken from the
bird’s eye view point is becoming an ordinary thing.
So now I would like to propose a bird’s-eye photography more in-
depth: not only presenting general image of something from a birds’-
eye view angle, but each photograph also has its decisive moment
and bears the story.
Here are captions for each photograph:
“Air Plane Stencils”: Shot at the airport just after the brief shower.
“White Dots”: The military parade seen from above. The navy hats
compose an interesting and eye-pleasing pattern.
“Guiding Light”: A ray of the sunlight coming through between the
buildings seemed as if it was making the way for the people to follow.
“Desire to be Alone”: Employees from a nearby restaurant taking a
rest, one of whom taking advantage of the shrub to shield himself
from his colleagues, to enjoy the solitude for a while.
“Tourists under the Cologne Cathedral”: A man tries to include the
whole 157m-tall cathedral with his wife posing in- front.
