Crimean Landscapes – Landscape Interpretation

Crimean Landscape Series was created before Maidan and all the
subsequent events happened in Ukraine.

Back then the flags of two different countries were already hanging
from every balcony, the influx of

Russians, tension and aggression in human interactions were
already present while no one yet knew what

the future was holding. Even at the time it was obvious that
something horrible was going to happen and

that the resolution would be unexpected. And only the landscapes,
full of monumentality and extraordinary

calmness, stood there watching from aside. Crimean Landscape
Series became part of Landscape

Interpretation Project as my emotional component.
