This was a pro bono project campaign to try to get shelter dogs
adopted into loving homes. By shooting them with the same care
as I would shoot a portrait of a client, this series hopes to
highlight the beauty of dogs that might not be of a certain breed,
but are still beautiful in their own way.
Ever obsessed with the visual image, Ivonne Carlo has been experimenting with photography since high school. She went on to study film/animation/video at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island. She now does photography full time in her studio in Puerto Rico and abroad.
