  In 1972 Bill Rompilla was the first staff photographer for the Solon Free Press, in his hometown. He has a BS degree in Photo Illustration from Kent State University. He did a 2 Yr. apprenticeship with MERKEN/SELTZER Studio, a large commercial photography agency. Clients included Virginia Slims Cigarettes, and celebrities including Cheryl Tiegs, Meryl Gray and Cathy Rigsby. Bill worked in the Tri-State area for 10 more years with commercial customers such as Macy's Department Store, Nabisco Company, Bambergers Co., as well a number of smaller agencies shooting models, and doing production work. , United States
