NANHE PAHALWAN
‘Nanhe Pahalwan’ brings to fore the raw exuberance of ancient
Pahalwani culture in India. Pahalwani traditionally uses the body as
the means to explore oneself. The affect is much deeper than what
is seen on the surface. For young Pahalwans, a lot of life is at
stake as they race from being small wonders to become big
fighters. There is an evident wild side for sure but at the same
time there is an open vulnerability throbbing to pop out any
moment. ‘Nanhe Pahalwan’ chooses to depict the vulnerability and
that too within the contours of a studio setting, an experiment
better suited at the fences.

I am India based photographer specialised in Food, Hotels and Architecture projects.
