The Roof of Ethiopia

The Simien Mountains in Ethiopia are a UNESCO World Heritage
area, sometimes called the roof of Africa due to the inclusion of
Ethiopia's highest peak Ras Dashan. The area is also included on
the List of World Heritage Danger due to declining numbers of
animal species including the Ethiopian Wolf. This decline is largely
due to ever encroaching farming practises into their natural
habitat.
