Pierre Delaunay photographe professionnel à Ruffec depuis 40 ans la ville où il est né en 1962, comme Obelix il est tombé tout petit dans la potion nommée "révélateur " (parents photographes).
Photographe humaniste et social, à travers sa sensibilité il traduit dans ses images l’émotion qui se dégage des personnages .
De nombreuses fois primées comme portraitiste, il expose ses œuvres en France et aussi à l’étranger.
Formateur , juge et maître de conférences internationale, il est un des fondateur/organisateurs du festival de photo- reportage Barrobjectif (16)
En 2003, il a reçu un QEP
