According to official study of University of Stuttgart, every german citizen is wasting an
average of 81,6 kg of food, summa summarum 11 million tons of food turned into waste.
Shocked of such numbers we wanted to adress this issue in a photograghic manner and
started our project, we believe in the importance of drawing attention to the waste of food.
In an artistic dialogue we developed a visual concept that goes far beyond sheer
documentation. Every Image represents a dish.
The compulsive packaging craze of todays society lead us to display the food in stockings.
This kind of packaging abstracts the subject itself and leads to a degree of anonymity.
An allusion on industrial mass food production.
Every package was weighed, every picture is named by its weight in gramms. In the end there
are 36 images, which add up to 81,6 kg.

Team of 2 Photographers Juli Hildebrand and Ingolf Hatz collobarating since 2011, specialized in fine art, still life and advertising photography. Constant exhibitions and book projects.
