Kala

There are some souls spread randomly around the world who have
an innate ability to deeply inspire you and leave an imprint of their
soul upon yours. Many define it as spirituality, I define it as art.

Kala is a hindi word that means 'Art', it also means yesterday and
tomorrow. Hence this entire project is about these people who
have this Art in them, a beauty that cannot be explained, which
transcends time and form.

I along with my co-creator came across these people quite by
chance. Random lucky happenstance as I put it, but what was
important that they left an impression on our minds.

We met them again, we had long talks about their life. We picked
up certain aspects of their personalities and imbibed them into
their surroundings while we photographed them. The images
completely represent who they are, their dreams, their aspirations,
their thoughts.

Together we created some more Kala and put it back into the
world.
