Fjallsárlón glacier has some of the purest blue ice I have ever seen in
Iceland. On the surface it is covered by thousands tons of ice, but below
the glacier tips, there are numerous crystal blue ice caves. It is a
mysterious and dangerous place to be, only can be accessed during the
winter season. After that the cave would melt and collapse. Each cave is
a unique place to be explored, since when it is gone it will never come
back. This is the casting location for the “north of the wall” in the popular
TV series “Game of Thrones”.
