Active fishing

Lomè is the capital and largest city of Togo, located on the Gulf of
Guinea. On the coast is traditionally active fishing with large nets
released near the shore and pull on the beach by the strength of
dozen of young men joined in a cooperative. The fish caught in
the net are often scarce and of small size at the expense of hard
daily work.
Microfinance give these people the opportunity to purchase
modern equipment such as winches for fishing nets to work in a
more simple and cost effective by increasing the income of
fishermen.

Awards Roberto Hüner, is a Rome based photographer working mainly with documentary, feature story, portraiture and street photography. In creating his artwork Roberto Hüner travels to major states across Africa to Egypt, Ethiopia, Mali, Mozambique, Morocco, SouthAfrica, Togo, Zimbabwe and across Asia as Russia and Iran. His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums in Italy and abroad: Roma, Milano, Torino, Genova, Urbino, Ponza and New York, Paris, London, Manchester, Thessaloniki, Perpignan. In recent years he has received a number of national and international awards, among them the National Geographic, PX3, IPA, SpiderAwards, CGAP, Nikon-FIOF “International Awards Orvieto Fotografia. Since 2013, teaching photography at the Department of Photography, Popular University of Rome (Upter). When not doing photography for a client work, he loves to capture the stories of the people and culture around him. You can check out some of his work on his website.
