The remote Province of Ratanakiri (in Cambodia) consists mainly
of indigenous peoples.
Settled in remote villages, these groups are particularly poor
and vulnerable. They lack infrastructure, employment and
livelihood opportunities and education.
Almost all of them are farmers and now suffer from land access
reduction and face decline of natural resources.
These group portraits were taken during a 3-years project
which aimed to improve food and nutrition security for rural
communities in this province.
People are photographed spontaneously in their normal living
environment.
