The Barkhor

The Barkhor is an area of narrow streets and a public square
located around Jokhang Templein Lhasa, Tibet, China. It is a spirit
and holy place for the Tibetan’s pilgrims and locals. People come
here for praying and worship their god. However, the Barkhor has
been a symbolic center of Tibetan protest since 1987, the Barkhor
has also seen many demonstrations. This series of portrait is to
record how’s the Tibetans live nowadays.
