Living space of Hani Ethnic

  • Photographer
    May Sim, Malaysia

The Hani people live in their unique houses for generations. The
rammed earth walls, bamboo corridors and thatch roofs are all built
with materials from mountains. A typical Hani's house has three
floors, the first floor is the place for livestock; the second floor
serves as living space, there is a fireplace in the middle of the room,
where the fire is never extinguished; the Hani people cover the
third floor with mud to prevent fire, and they use it as storeroom.
