The series represents a selection of colour photographs from a 3
months long trip in India.
My intention for this trip was not to plan in advance where to go but
instead to decide in each city the next destination.
As I was looking to go as a traveller rather than a tourist and
photograph the locals in their environment rather than the highlights of
India, I mostly went to cities or neighbourhoods which were not visited
by tourists.
Though in some pictures the subjects are aware of my presence, the
photos were never directed.
I am a photographer based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I have been taking photographs since 2006, though I have only started to take it more seriously since 2013 when I participated to several workshops with Magnum photographer Nikos Economopoulos and In-Public member and photojournalist Maciej Dakowicz.
My portfolio includes mostly travel photographs, with recent work from my 3 months travel in India.
