The Colla Puppets are a milanese institution, since they were founded almost 3 centuries ago.
However they are probably better known abroad, taking every year an international tour.
Singularity of the Colla company is that every puppeter is involved on the production of
every single puppet, as a wooden worker, as a tailor, as a stage scenographer and as a
theatre stage builder.
Ability of a good puppeter is to give life to a wooden piece, and to do that you must have
a deep passion on puppets.
The Colla Puppets are Opera actors and their show are not only for children as we may
wrongly consider.
I spent over 20 years (always as a freelance) on News photography starting from a local magazine until International news with Thomson Reuters, in the middle a 13 years collaboration with a sports photo agency Omega Fotocronache. Today i keep going on sport photography and personal projects, mainly focused on Spirituality.
