Number of Death: 15,891 / Number of Missing: 2,584 (March 10,
2015)
4 years have passed since The Great East Japan Earthquake
It is recorded as ‘a’ great disaster but it will not be long before it
becomes ‘a’ history.

However, sadness and suffering have been engraved on each mind
of all victims. Actually, there are 15,891 stories as ‘My son was
killed by the collapsed house.’ There are 2,584 stories as ‘My wife
has been missing by Tsunami.’ Nowadays, the number of
opportunities to hear such a story from victims have been
decreasing year by year.

One day, I had an opportunity to see things left behind. When I
saw them, I could not help imaging a variety of stories from them.
So I was determined to capture those things. And these works are
the records of these ‘stories’.

[Summary]
I started taking photos in 2009. On weekdays, I work in the management planning department of a food products company.
And on weekends, I take photos.
â??Unstoppableâ?? is my first mega project. Iâ??d like to exhibit and publish my works overseas from now on.
