The photography series for two family-run wineries of the
Small-Carpathian region in Slovakia. This industry has a long
tradition in the region, going back to times when it was a part of
the Limes Romanum - the north border of the great Roman
empire.
Interrupted by the violent implementation of the soviet model of
collectivisation Slovak agriculture and especially winemaking is
revitalising and finding its new strength and esprit with the
modern approach of today's young winemakers. The
photographs were created for the communication campaigns of
the companies Terra Parna and Karpatska Perla.
