Originally from the United States, Thomas Mangieri shoots high-end beauty, fashion, and portrait photography internationally with bases in New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, and Bangkok.
A graduate of the University of Scranton with a BA in philosophy and a thesis on aesthetics, he put graduate school on hold when a long love of photography compelled him to move to New York and take a crash course in the creative arts.
While in New York, he mastered technical skills as an assistant for industry legends Patrick Demarchelier, Mary Ellen Mark, and James Salzano. He sharpened his creative eye at the International Center of Photography and absorbed the energy of the city that he made home.
His love for iconic and timeless imagery combined with a preternatural sense of strong graphic composition informs his approach to image-making.
Mangieri captures real feeling and emotion in his photographs. A warm and friendly personality puts his subjects at ease while clear art direction ensures that the team produces visuals, that not only fit the brief, but exceed it.
He is currently working on motion and a director's reel to complement his still photography.
