Some things in our faced paced world never change. However, coping mechanisms do. By splicing bits of fiction together I encourage story telling and the exercising of imagination in the viewer. The sleek compositing effects of the computer that I employ, where real and unreal are seamlessly blended, begin to reflect the ambiguities of life in our digital age. We are rarely without need for mythology and metaphor to navigate our lives and relationships with ourselves as well as nature. This piece comes from a current series of surreal images that deal with the notion of contemporary mythology. We are a species that thrives on telling stories. - Davida Kidd
