Ice Cosmos

Close up of air bubbles in ice.

I was born in 1955 in Marmaverken, Sweden. After a nine year career in mechanical engineering I decided to make a dramatic change to devote my life to landscape photography. Which had been my long held hobby and great passion. It is a change I have never regretted. I have always felt drawn to the untamed and un-manipulated that one finds in Nature. The wilderness is the mother of all living things. It is always true and never trivial. Over the years I have had the entire world as my workplace, photographing everything from the vast expanses of the Arctic, to steaming rainforests and dry deserts. My work has been displayed in numerous exhibitions and published in many international photography magazines. I have received several awards for my photography, including Hasselblad Master Award in 2008. I have published 3 books with landscape photographs and am currently working on two new book projects: one on The Arctic and one on Iceland.

I live in Hägersten, a southern suburb of Stockholm, Sweden, with my wife Carina and daughter Johanna. Apart from photography I have a great passion for classical music and am a lover of French wines.
