Strangers is a serie of portraits about contemporary immigrant women that live the contrast between their tradition and their current choices.
Simone Strijk is a Brazilian-Dutch photographer with a background in conceptual and portrait photography. A graduate of the Foto Academie in Amsterdam, her work has been exhibited internationally, including as a finalist for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Simone’s photography explores themes of identity, emotion, and transformation, blending narrative depth with a distinctive visual language. She has also taught photography at university level and continues to develop projects that merge artistic vision with personal storytelling.
