Thermopylae. In Greece, at the site of the historical battle of Thermopylae, where 300 Spartans fought thousands of Persians, Sunday visitors relax in medicinal baths. At a time of economic crisis this free excursion brings them closer to nature and... history.

I met photography as an immigrant. I was born in Albania but I came to Greece with my family when I was 11 years old. Ten years later I held my first camera. Until then, I felt the eyes of the society on me. A newcomer, a foreigner, an outcast. With the camera I had the chance to stare back. See the world through my own lens.
I started working as an assistant of a more experienced photographer and in 2006 I started paving my own path in photography. A year later I had my first exhibition. The theme was the immigrants and their life in Athens. I have also been working as a freelance photographer for weekly magazines in Greece, "Tachydromos" and "BHMAgazino." I have also freelanced my work at publications in Italy, France and Germany.
