In Mexico, the blind and visually impaired are confrontating precarious social conditions: for them, is very difficult to find decent job, good education and efficient health services, but finding places that allow them to develop cultural, sports and recreational activities is even more difficult or almost impossible.
 
In the capital of the country - the Federal District - there are only two sports centers with specialized trainers to teach swimming to blind and visually impaired children.
However, swimming allows blind children and youth to acquire independence, and confidence in themselves and in their capacities, because in a society where they integrate difficultly people with disabilities, they are winning successfully.
