Earthquake: The Way We Live

The Sichuan earthquake destroyed many homes, and displaced one million people. The government quickly built simple panel housing to accommodate them for the next three years as they rebuild the completely demolished town. Each panel unit measured only about 4 metres by 8 metres, and has only one window panel. They bring them whatever they could salvage from the earthquake, and tried to live their new lives and operate their small business. Images show the way they live. (a newly wed, a chinese physician, a couple watching tv, a old man eating and a small hair saloon.
