Lisa Saad turned her back on conventional picture taking, choosing instead to forge her own way in the world of commercial photography. Her specialty lies in photographing people in the most unusual and fascinating ways to capture intimate and original portraits. Lisa takes pride in her attention to detail and in the ability to think outside the box.

Lisa, has been trained and worked with many industry leaders, on many local and international campaigns. Her innovative work targets 'high-end' advertising including fashion, food, portraiture, still life, editorial, automotive, illustrative and interior both locally and internationally with work appearing regularly in many publications.

Lisa's attentive and original approach to her craft has resulted in a succession of national and international awards.

Lisa was a recent recipient (2007) of the Master Degree by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) as well as the award for the Victorian Commercial/Advertising Photographer of the year at the 2007 Epson AIPP Victorian Professional Photographer of the Year Awards. She also took out the Highest Scoring Print Award in the Commercial/Advertising Category and by a Master at the 2007 Epson AIPP Victorian Professional Photographer of the Year Awards. Lisa has also placed third in the Digitally Enhanced section of the "Special Category" at the International Photographer of the Year Awards for her adventurers? series in 2004, placed second in the Editorial section ?Other Category? at the International Photographer of the Year Awards for the ?archangel? series in 2006 and recently received an award at the Prix de la Photographie Paris Awards (PX3) 2007 placing 2nd in the ?Advertising? Category ?Self Promotion.

Lisa employs the latest in digital technology for both the shooting and post-production processes and is also a well respected Director of Photography and Cinematographer on TVC's, Short Films, Documentary?s, Mocumentary?s and Feature Film's specialising in High Definition Digital imaging.

Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts-Photography (RMIT) Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1989 before travelling overseas and working as a freelance photographer's assistant in both London and Paris. She returned to Melbourne and in 1992 established herself as a freelance photographer, as well as Gotham Studios in Richmond in 1994.

In 2002 Lisa completed a Masters Degree of Multimedia at Swinburne University and has exhibited at various galleries including the Photographers Gallery in Melbourne, a permanent Exhibition at The Australian Confederation of Sport Headquarters in Canberra, Melbourne Photographers Exhibition in 1999 at Dugerres on Chapel, Our Melbourne Exhibition at the Melbourne Town Hall and at the Gotham Studios Group show.

As well as being an ACP and ANZ preferred Photographer, Lisa is constantly working on new creative projects and is now enjoying adding and growing to her enormous image making portfolio as Director of Photography on many productions. Combining this to her original non-commissioned works utilises Lisa's seventeen years of experience with an experimental approach and advanced skills in digital composition and manipulation to produce some very powerful imagery.
