Martin Tomcik, born in 1970 in Slovakia, has been engaged in scuba diving on a sporting basis since 1999; in photography since childhood, and underwater photography since 2000. He uses Nikon F80, water-proof case SEALUX, and two flashes Sea&Sea YS 90. He has been photographing in many countries in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Despite all the travels, his most successful shot was taken on a lunch break just a few kilometres outside his hometown. It is an image of a little frog standing on its back legs, with an arm stretched out as if waving right at you. This picture was taken in Gader Valley-Velk? Fatra National Park (Slovakia) in a small lake during the frogs coupling time. Martin was awarded several prizes at international UW festivals.
