? l?aide d?un appareil SX 70 d?nich? sur un march?, j?ai choisi de revenir ? l?acte m?me de photographier, ? des prises de vues instantan?es. ? travers la technique du polaro?d et utilisation de films p?rim?s, je travaille simplement en appuyant sur le d?clencheur, en contact direct avec le pr?sent, le pass? et les fant?mes parfois des espaces travers?s. L?image appara?t ainsi dans un rapport d?imm?diatet? qui abolit toutes les ?tapes de r?ception et permet d?appr?hender plus que le r?el. Je propose en effet une s?rie de paysages, ouverts ? l?infini et au r?ve, sans aucune trace humaine. Ce sont des ambiances que j?affectionne particuli?rement, et qui nous entra?nent vers une sur-r?alit??

SHEN Yi Elsie (b.Jiangxi, China) received a BA in liberal arts from Wesleyan University in Illinois and worked many years as an translator. Only in recent year she uncovered her passion with visual arts and have been producing work in photography and video related media. Selected solo exhibitions include Overstep, Siemens Art Space(2011) Expired Landscape, French Cultural Center, Beijing, (2008-2009) and The Blue Book, Pingyao International Photo Festival, Shanxi, China (2008). Selected exhibitions include DongXi-Things Contemporary Chinese Art Show, Kunstverein Baden Art Center, Austria (2010); Share and Remixed- Creative Commons Art Exhibition, Ying Gallery, 798 Art Zone, Beijing, China (2009); Revealing Common Territories, Palacio Consistorial, Cartegena, Spain, (2008); and Dreamscape, Ofoto Gallery, Shanghai, (2008).
