In April 2007, Moira McCarthy participated in her first International Exposition organised by the Bibliotheque de Geographie, University of Paris 1. In August 2007, she received four Honorable Mentions from the International Photography Awards for her scenes of Parisian architecture and gardens. In December 2007, Moira attended the Venice International Photographic Competition where she was presented with a Gold Medal. Her later photographs of Venice and Paris gained her seven Honorable Mentions in the 2008 IPA Awards. Moira has travelled extensively through Europe and the United States. She is fluent in French and maintains her passion for French language and culture.
